Expansion of Medicorp

January 3311 > ….

During a press conference held in Kalak on January 11, 3311 (2025), Medicorp unveils its New Year’s wishes along with a major announcement: its plan to colonize uninhabited systems to expand its infrastructure and operations. Since its founding in 3303 (2017), Medicorp has nurtured the ambition of establishing rescue and medical research bases in remote regions of the universe. This monumental project, named NOVA LUX GALACTICA, symbolizes the idea of a shining beacon in the darkness of space, a guiding light for pilots in distress.

This initiative is already mobilizing Medicorp’s rescue teams and supporters, promising to elevate the organization to a new level of excellence and humanitarian commitment.

Note: This project is launched following Frontier Developments’ announcement of a new game feature planned for 2025: colonization.

Phase 1: Announcement and Audit

Following a public announcement (see the links to articles below), the first phase of the Nova Lux Galactica project involves auditing Medicorp’s rescuers and supporters to evaluate their commitment, exchange ideas, debate the project, and begin considering which systems could host the organization’s future infrastructure. Phase 2: Arrival at Piscium Sector CQ-Y b2

On the evening of February 26, 3311, the Piscium Sector CQ-Y b2 system was claimed by MediCorp to establish an initial foothold as part of the Nova Lux Galactica project. Thanks to the unwavering support of many MediCorp pilots, the first scientific outpost, Bishop Landing, was constructed. Thousands of tons of raw materials were delivered to the colony megaship in a continuous flow. As soon as the plans for Bishop Landing were approved, the megastructure was set in place, and the generator was activated (see the articles below), the construction of two space farms began. The goal of these structures is to achieve food self-sufficiency for the system, which, from the very first days, housed over 12,000 citizens, pilots, and workers.

While the structures were being established, other systems were also claimed under the banner of MediCorp in nearby sectors, as well as in more distant regions, such as the stronghold of UAlcool Transportation Service (UTS), responsible for the production and distribution of the renowned UAlcool.

Phase 3: DSN Project

As part of its partnership with the Deep Space Network, Medicorp has been tasked with developing a dedicated rescue and relief system for remote areas of the galaxy. This forward operating base will therefore be located far from the human sphere, near a carefully selected galactic site favored by explorers.

Step 1 – System Selection

This phase is complex and requires significant resources, as no nearby station will provide the necessary materials for construction. All equipment and materials must therefore be transported to the site using a flotilla of fleet carrier.

The first step of this third phase of Nova Lux Galactica consists of selecting an area and systems suitable for colonization. This stage will begin in March 3311 (2025).
