End of Operation shield of Sol

December 18, 3310 – A Day Etched in History

On December 18, 3310, barely 24 hours after Cocijo entered meltdown, the last titan exploded. The detonation left behind a grim and ominous mark: a mass of debris orbiting Earth, a lingering scar of the oppressive presence of these colossal motherships.

During the explosion, a singular phenomenon left a deep impression: a mysterious and unique sound, heard by several crews in the vicinity. A blend of low frequencies and crystalline tones, this enigmatic signal is already sparking new questions about the titans and their true nature.

The End of a Historic Operation
The explosion of Cocijo marks the conclusion of Operation Sol Shield, one of the largest and most ambitious initiatives ever undertaken by Medicorp. Launched to save thousands of lives trapped in the confinement bionacelles of the titans, this mission saw an unprecedented mobilization of pilots, scientists, and rescue personnel from around the galaxy.

In Phase 3, efforts were focused on extracting the remaining hostages within a limited timeframe—a race against the clock that tested the teams’ nerves and resources to their limits. Thanks to exemplary coordination and the rescuers’ heroism, an impressive number of lives were preserved.

In an official statement, Medicorp commended the bravery and dedication of the teams:

« Operation Shield of Sol is a shining example of what humanity can achieve when working together toward a common goal »

For many, this mission will remain an unforgettable memory. A rescuer who actively participated in Phase 3 shares:

Every second counted. When I saw those pods drifting in space, with lives inside, I knew we had to give everything we had. Failure wasn’t an option.

Similarly, Medicorp Chief Surgeon, Dr. Kali Girard-Mangin, emphasizes the importance of collective commitment:

“It was a race against time, but thanks to the dedication of our teams, we were able to save tens of thousands of people evacuated or rescued.”

Another testimony, that of CMDR Malyda Sunstrider, provides a more detailed account of the operation:

It is a great honor to have participated in Operation Sol Shield for MEDICORP. One of my worst memories remains my first evacuation in SOL— it was a disaster. Poor management of the electronic countermeasure module caused me to lose half of my passengers. May they rest in peace. However, this operation also provided moments of triumph: the evacuation of the megaship Orunmilla in the Duamta system. Being aboard a megaship with external pads, we found ourselves right in the middle of the battle during the docking phase.

NOTE : His rescue statistics during the operation highlight the courage and determination of Medicorp rescuers:

Phase 1: Evacuation of 1,669 refugees from SOL
Phase 2: Evacuation of 5,594 refugees from SOL, Duamta, EZ Aquarii, and Epsilon Eridani
Phase 3: Recovery of 41 bioconfinement pods from Cocijo

At the end of the article, you will find the explosion filmed by CMDR Malyda Sunstrider.

Operation Sol Shield will remain etched as one of the largest and most ambitious rescue missions in history. As the chapter of Cocijo closes, questions surrounding the titans and their origins remain unanswered. The mystery has only just begun.

Medicorp calls for continued vigilance and remains committed to working for the greater good.
