“We are not here to colonize, but to rescue, heal, and build.”

Deep within the Hippocrates, docked in Hyades Sector QI-R b5-5, the atmosphere is electric. Rescue pilots, logisticians, medical specialists — all are rushing to scan, double-check, and finalize cargo with X-ray precision. On this 6th of May 3311, the hospital carrier will depart for the Sanguine Frontier, marking a historic milestone as Medicorp extends beyond its traditional zones of operation.

On board, we meet Talia Röntgen, future administrator of the Sanguine Frontier and system lead for Medicorp at 2MASS J05364928+0958199.

The Kalaktic : Dr. Röntgen, you’re just hours away from departure. How are you feeling?

Talia Röntgen:
Honestly? Proud. And deeply humbled.
After the Colonia adventure, Nova Lux Galactica isn’t just another project — it’s the beginning of a new era for Medicorp, and for this whole patch of the galactic void some still call the “Frontier”, as if it were a no man’s land.
We’re here to prove that search and rescue knows no borders.

The Kalaktic : Can you remind us of the mission’s main objectives?

Talia Röntgen:
They’re easy to say, hard to build.
We want to establish a full-scale, autonomous, and sustainable rescue and research presence, in coordination with the DSN (Deep Space Network). That includes:

  • A Coriolis station as a gateway to the system — for stabilization, triage, and emergency support.
  • One or two orbital medical structures, capable of producing medicine, tools, and Laennec medical drones.
  • And most importantly, a planetary research center, likely accompanied by an orbital farm, to anticipate famine and logistical breakdowns.

The Kalaktic : But for now, you’re still docked. What’s missing?

Talia Röntgen:
Time. Hands. And resources.
We’re in critical need of construction materials, medical supplies — anything that can help us start building the moment we arrive.
Every shipment delivered to the Hippocrates, and later in-system, will make a massive difference.
And I say this directly to independent pilots, fleet commanders, specialists: we need you.

The Kalaktic : You often talk about “rescuing differently.” What do you mean by that?

Talia Röntgen:
Well, let’s be honest — until now, “rescuing differently” at Medicorp usually meant pulling frozen escape pods out of the void with a defibrillator held together by duct tape and blind optimism.
And honestly? It kinda worked. Most of the time.
But now, it’s time for something else: stop putting out fires — and build the fire station.

Yes, we’ll keep pulling frozen commanders out of the black, but we’ll also create the infrastructure to make sure fewer people end up in those pods to begin with.
That’s “rescuing differently” — bringing SAR closer to the pilots, acting before the emergency, not just after.
And maybe, just maybe, replacing a bit of adrenaline with some good old innovation and human connection.

The Kalaktic : One last word, Dr. Röntgen?

Talia Röntgen :
The MHS Hippocrates is ready. The engines are hot.
But we won’t leave alone. This mission isn’t “Medicorp’s mission”. It belongs to everyone who believes that a future is possible — even out here, in the margins.
If you’re reading this, you can help.
And if you help, you’ll become part of something much bigger.

Details of the operation will be shared on the DSN and Medicorp Discord servers.
