2300 inhabitants, very few. And that doesn’t even count the pets or the mannequins from Pioneer Supplies. 2300 inhabitants in a backwater place that the mighty Consillium seems to have forgotten. My role in all this? Deliver meds to the miners around here to contain an epidemic before it spreads throughout the galaxy.

While the Mercy fleet carrier continues its preparations to establish itself in Colonia as an advanced medical facility away from the frontlines of the war, mysterious information is circulating about it. More precisely, about the owner of the fleet carrier, about whom very little is known. MediCorp has remained relatively discreet about the commander who made the medical ship available, emphasizing that the project takes precedence over financial and management aspects.

20 hours before the tragedy
Few in Kalak, at this hour, are serene and peaceful. Since the morning of May 8, 3309, local news channels have been repeatedly broadcasting updates from the Thargoid front. Earlier in the afternoon, in an urgency that seems absolute, Medicorp’s fleet carriers were dispatched to the borders of the Maelstroms. Will tomorrow be the day of all dangers? MediCorp has been a leading medical NGO since its foundation in early May 3303, making it 6 years since our inception. It would have been possible to celebrate our 6 years of existence with extravagance and social gatherings, showcasing our numerous successes throughout the Galaxy. We could have highlighted the consistently remarkable actions of our rescuers in combating epidemics, recovering escape pods from the depths of the Milky Way, and extracting helpless victims from blazing stations.

Rumors or Truths
For the past few days, rumors have been circulating in the halls of Nobel Terminal station in Kalak, as relayed by MediCorp rescuers. The Kalaktic has tried, without success, to shed light on these rumors or projects by contacting the instances of the NGO. So far, the requests have not been accepted.

Exploration and research ships in testing phase
This Sunday, Professor Sharrowkyn announced that the two Caustic Environment Exploration and Research Vessels (VEREC) are entering the testing phase. These vessels, true flying laboratories, carry specific modules and engineering to push exploration into the maelstroms. This second phase is the realization of the announcement made last week by MediCorp’s authorities.
